Where Will Canadians Go This Winter?

Where Will Canadians Go This Winter?

Most Canadians planning a trip this winter intend to stay in Canada, according to the August Outbound Canada report.

But many Canadians continue to take advantage of high Canadian-US exchange rates. Travel to the US continues to be strong, with destinations like Orlando, Las Vegas and Phoenix more popular than ever. Be sure to take advantage of today’s travel insurance products such as EHM, Trip Interruption or Flight Accident.

How do hurricanes affect travel?

Last year hurricanes changed travel to the Caribbean. Arrivals to Dominican Republic, Jamaica and the Cayman Islands grew by more than 10 per cent. Experts think it was because of the massive hurricane damage in Cancun.

This year the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration predicted and 85 per cent chance of an above-normal hurricane season, with the likelihood of 13 to 16 named storms, with seven to nine becoming hurricanes. TIC’s Trip Cancellation & Interruption plans look even better now!

Wheat are the best cities to visit in Canada?

A poll conducted by Environics Research Group surveyed over 2,000 Canadians and found that nearly one in five (19%) chose Vancouver as the number one Canadian city tourists should not miss. Quebec City came in a close second with 18%, followed by Montreal (14%), Toronto (13%) and Ottawa (8%).

Remember, even if you are leaving your province of residence but staying in Canada, Emergency Hospital & Medical for Canadians is a good idea.
